Well Done Amy!!!

Amy Mcteggart (3rd year) 'leapt' to fame the other night
    when she won the: 


Drogheda Independent Young Sports Star of the Year 2011.

She beat off some very stiff opposition to claim her prize from RTE's  Des Cahill.

Amy is the  current holder of 5 National Titles in Combined Events and the Long Jump.

One to watch  for the future!! 

Another Great day out for the Music Dept!!

Congratulations to Mr. Reilly, Miss Diskin and Miss Hanratty on preparing such a first-class TY team to represent the school in the Briery Gap Schools Musical Festival...

They won numerous awards and commendations.

Debating Achievements!

Recently some of our more articulate students did us proud in the 
              Denny's Debating Competition.

             All smiles from the debaters!

5th year students Eleanor Honan and Bronagh Kieran gave a winning performance on the subject of 'non-violent crime and punishment' to move them into the next round of the debates....They will certainly be a tough team to beat

TY student orator, Laura Bartley, also performed very well and offers much promise for the future.

Oh la la! French Drama!

We were delighted to have welcomed a group of French actors on the 31st of January.  

They certainly brought a bit of 
“Je ne sais pas” to the “ambiance”!!!!!!

Second year students took part in the “le Porte-Bonheur” (‘The Lucky Charm’) and 

TY students did an excellent job at performing in “le Paysan Medecin” (The Farmer Doctor.)

 Merci mille fois a la troupe d’acteurs et un grand bravo a toutes les filles!!
