MUSATHON 2012

Greenhills Musathon was a roaring success again this year.  Miss Diskin, ably supported by Miss Threadwell and Mr Reilly gave us a musical extravaganza which will live in the memory!

Of course, we had a very special visitor that night...Mrs Philomena Lynott came to hear the girls and their 'Thin Lizzy Experience.'  What a wonderful lady...such a gentle and sincere soul....thanks for the moving advice...:Love his music, but not his lifestyle.'

Busy Day in School!! Failte Isteach!!

What a busy day in Greenhills .........

Firstly Ms Ryan and Mr O'C's CSPE classes got together to help the Jack and Jill Foundation...Sarah Norris came to talk to us about this worthy cause! We collected a lot of money with a cake sale, jelly-sale!! and organising the Ceili!!!  and will be presenting a cheque to J&J very shortly!! Thank you all so much! 

Secondly, Seachtain na Gaeilge is upon us an we had a great craic at the Ceile Mor at lunch time.....ev eryone got into the swing of things...ceol agus craic for sure!

Thirdly....our own Sharon Gaynor came to visit and sang two beautiful songs to a packed Assembly Hall, she mentioned how Greenhills still seemed the same!!! Thank You Sharon!

Athletics High Achievers!!

Greenhills girls Emily Rogers and Amy McTeggart, again, have enjoyed continued success in track and field.


Emily,  from 5th year has won 1st place in the 
North Leinsters,   Leinsters and 
      the All-Ireland Schools competition

Amy was recently given an All-Star by the

Athletics Association of Ireland

in recognition for all her dedication throughout the year.

Keep it up!!

Well Done Amy!!!

Amy Mcteggart (3rd year) 'leapt' to fame the other night
    when she won the: 


Drogheda Independent Young Sports Star of the Year 2011.

She beat off some very stiff opposition to claim her prize from RTE's  Des Cahill.

Amy is the  current holder of 5 National Titles in Combined Events and the Long Jump.

One to watch  for the future!! 

Another Great day out for the Music Dept!!

Congratulations to Mr. Reilly, Miss Diskin and Miss Hanratty on preparing such a first-class TY team to represent the school in the Briery Gap Schools Musical Festival...

They won numerous awards and commendations.
